I never liked all these tools that claimed to clear your system. Sure it does make sense logically but they rarely improve my Windows performance.
There is only one reason why I use cleaning software. This is when my browsers (both Chrome and Firefox) are running erratically. For example: Flash crashes often, browser crashes to desktop or even worse: webpage displayed incorrectly.
This is where CCleaner comes in. It detects all the setting, unused and even temp files used by Chrome and Firefox. And most of the time, CCleaner tends to solve the browser issues.
They tend to have several other functions like clearing your registry files but I have to say I rarely need to do it
