I just realized recently that I could play Youtube videos via VLC. This happened because I usually watch my videos "Always On Top" while I'm playing my game. However, if you play Youtube videos, your browser just don't have that "Always On Top" option. I don't even want to find an add-on to use that feature because it takes a huge chunk of screen real estate.
A quick Google and I realize that I could watch my online video via VLC. Press CTRL N to open the Network Stream media selector.
Use the following format:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12345&&fmt=18
12345 being the video ID from Youtube and fmt=18 is to play 480 x 360. If you want to play the highest quality, use fmt=6.
